BIEDERMEIER ARMCHAIRS AC395
BIEDERMEIER ARMCHAIRS AC395

Pair of side-frame constructed arm chairs in walnut on oak and pine. Inlaid with ash. Carved discs. Lyra shaped padded backs, scrolled arms, saber legs with original brass sabots. Drop-in seats. Overall design comparable to arm chairs by Ferenz Steindl (Pest, Hungary). The maturely designed chair backs are reminding of (not by) Johann Nepomuk Geyer (the most important Biedermeier cabinet maker in Innsbruck/Austria in the 1840's). Hungary. Late 1830's/early 1840's.
