Renaissance revival 19th Century arm chair (late 17th Century German model). Solid oak. Magnificently detailed wood carvings including a pierced crest crown with two lions, a key and six-edged star; backrest with a scene of a monk in the wine cellar and a Latin quote "IN VINO VERITAS" (thruth is in the wine). Arms ending in carved lion heads, legs with paw feet.
