Superb quality Hungarian Biedermeier chair by cabinet maker Ferenc Steindl, Pest (Hungary). Walnut on oak. Voluted arms and back frame inlaid with fillets in bird's-eye-maple and walnut. Waisted and outbent seat back. Drop-in seat. Elegantly shaped sabre legs. Circa 1840. Pest/Hungary.
