Pair of large and comfortable French Art Deco bergeres, signed "ATELIER GAUTHIER & POINSIGNON NANCY". Uncommonly detailed mahogany frames with loose cushion upholstery. 1920's. Nancy (France). 17 1/2"/35" h, 31" w, 36" d Camile Gauthier (1870-1963) worked with Louis Majorelle before he founded his company "Gauthier & Poinsignon" in 1901 which in later years specialized in Art Deco. They exhibited at the 1925 World Fair when Art deco was introduced to the world.
