Rare North German desk veneered with mahogany on pinewood and maple. Veneered on all sides for freestanding. Raised on 4 slightly conical columns. 5 frieze drawers including 2 secretdrawers with lion head pulls. Top with 6 drawers and 2 niches. All 9 drawers retaining its original (inlaid) brass escutcheons and original locks. 7 original keys with beautiful pierced key-heads. North Germany, before 1825. 31/39" h, 43"w, 36 1/4" d.
