Exemplary North German Biedermeier secretaire. Crotch mahogany on pine in bookmatch pattern. Free-standing columns. Fitted interior behind fall front: drawers, temple with mirrors, parquetry floor, secret compartments, columns (like outside) with original fine French mounts, poplar root veneer, stained woods, inlaid with maple. Stepped top with door, Schinkel pediment. Usable as a standing desk or a lectern desk as well.
