Reference for comparable tables from the 1840's: pages 316 and 317, Dr. Georg Himmelheber "Deutsche Moebelvorlagen 1800 - 1900" (German Furniture Designs 1800 - 1900), Munich, 1988.

Dr. Georg Himmelheber defined the style of Biedermeier furniture in 1978 (Vogel, Dusseldorf) where he stated "After year of 1839 Rococo and Renaissance motifs were suddenly added to Gothic and Baroque motifs which were already in use...". With this the criterion of the Historicism style was fullfilled.
