OTHER PERIODS SC309

Two "Lombardian" chairs with characteristic carved cross boards and inlaid panles. Developed in Italy in 16th Century and produced as well in Switzerland and South Germany in 16th, 17th and up to the 18th Century in it's more simpler design. Walnut and maple. Clues suggest a larger set existed. 17th Century. South Germany.
